The Challenges
Real-time and secure
PIN-gated WebRTC sessions carry live device state and multiple video feeds with the latency budget a live scan demands.
Many teams, one interface
Webpack module federation let independent teams own and deploy their slice of the control surface.
Approach
We built a real-time collaboration layer over the imaging workflow:
- Twilio WebRTC with PIN-based access for secure remote sessions
- Remote access to the scanning machine itself
- A micro-frontend architecture using Webpack module federation
- GraphQL push for live feeds via Apollo, with multi-camera support
The Solution
An expert can join a session from anywhere, see multiple camera angles and the machine state, and guide or drive the scan in real time. Module federation lets independent teams ship parts of the interface without stepping on each other.
