A large pest-management company.
Controlling pests across airports and granaries with legacy methods was no longer viable under environmental regulation. The client needed smart, connected devices that could run unattended for years in the field.
Multi-year field life meant engineering every microamp, from sensor duty cycles to the LoRa and Sigfox radio schedule.
The design had to hit BOM cost targets and transfer cleanly to high-volume contract manufacturing.
We engineered for extreme low power and long range:
The devices sense activity using PIR and accelerometer inputs and report over long-range, low-power radio, running for more than six years on a single battery. We carried the design from prototype through pilot to a manufacturing-ready unit that met BOM cost targets.
